The Music Playlist

The music playlist is similar to the picture playlist in many ways. The music in your slide show will play in the order that the music files appear in your playlist. So, the music in slot 1 will play before the music in slot 2, which will play before the music in slot 3, etc. Like pictures, there is no limit to the number of music files in a single slide show. If you want to rearrange the order of music in your playlist, just click and drag an item to another location in the playlist. If you want to copy an item in your playlist, hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click and drag. A small “+” will appear next to your cursor to let you know the item will be copied instead of moved. In either case, a black line will appear to show you where the music will be placed when you release the mouse button. To scroll up and down in the event that you have more than 10 music files in your playlist, click on the small arrow buttons to the right of the playlist. You can also click and drag the textured block in the scroll bar to move the list up and down more quickly.

To add items to your playlist, use the “Add” button. The “Add” button will open an “Add Files To Playlist” box so that you can select music files from your hard drive to add to your playlist. You can add more than one music file at a time by selecting multiple music files in the file dialog and then pressing "Open". Easy Slide Show Creator supports the following music file formats for slide shows:

aif, aiff, wav, mp3, and swa audio files.

To remove an item from your playlist, simply select that item by clicking on it, and click on the “Garbage Can” button. It will be removed from your slide show, but the file on your hard drive will remain untouched so you can add it later if needed.

The currently selected music file will have a blue highlight, and it will be this music file that will be previewed when you click the “Play” button. To preview any music, just select it in your playlist and click the “Play” button.

The number at the far left of the playlist item is the music file’s place in the playlist. So if you see a “3”, you know this will be the 3rd music file played in your slide show. The music indicator is immediately to the right of the number, and it will contain a small music note icon if the current playlist item is occupied with a music file.
